ABOUT THE ARTIST
After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BFA in sculpture, Susie found a job in television as a graphic designer. After working for several years in broadcasting, she eventually took a community pottery class which developed into a home studio and eventually into the opening of The Kiln Studio and Gallery in Fairhope, Alabama. Between taking community classes and starting The Kiln, Susie took many workshops studying under several different teachers in the US, leading her to study in Italy, Japan and China. She sold The Kiln to become a full time studio artist. Some of her exhibitions and private collection sales include NCECA, Echizen, Japan, Atlanta, and Mobile Museum of Art to name a few.
